Representatives from the worlds of work and education get involved in this network to ensure the future of young people through a comprehensive and well-founded education. For 60 years, SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT has stood for the successful collaboration between and mutual support of students and businesses.
This work is supported through broad voluntary commitment that is in turn supported by full-time agencies at the state and federal level like the Confederation of German Employers‘ Associations (BDA) and the Cologne Institute of Economic Research, and at the state level from umbrella organizations of employers in partnership with ministries.
The following guiding principles shape our work:
We are the network for school and business – living, competent, and long-lasting.
We establish perspectives – for life and career.
We build bridges – between school and business.
We are involved – locally, regionally, nationally, internationally.
We assume social responsibility.
The Network SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT is politically neutral. We act upon the values of trust, honesty, transparency, respect, tolerance, diversity, quality, and sustainability.
Voluntary participation constitutes an important foundation for our networking. We carefully handle the resources of voluntary workers that contribute to our work. Voluntary and full time staff work together as equals.
SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT only cooperates with partners that respect the self-image of the network in the cooperation.
We abide by the applicable regulations concerning sponsorship in schools and expect the same from our partners.
We disclose collaborative work with sponsors, media, and other institutions.
We establish means of sponsorship exclusive to the support of the projects and activities and without any profit.
We alone decide on projects and activities as well as their contents. Sponsors have no influence upon this process.
We are the network of partnership between schools and business– regionally anchored, nationwide networked.
We bring schools and businesses together, so that young people can successfully navigate the transition from school to career and businesses succeed in hiring graduates.
Our experts initiate and shape cooperation between schools and businesses nationwide in over 400 working groups. The thematic focuses are career guidance, economic education, and STEM promotion. Our portfolio includes: company visits and internships; collaborations and training; informational materials for schools, businesses, and parents (brochures, checklists, job aids…), and simulation games and contests.
This work is supported through broad voluntary commitment that is in turn supported by full-time agencies at the state and federal levels. The network is supported by the BDA and the Cologne Institute of Economic Research at the federal level, and by the confederations and education firms of employers in partnership with ministries at the state level.
SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT Germany is the consortium of the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT network of 16 federal states with their working groups. The network is supported at the federal level by the BDA and IW.
At the state level, the regional associations of employer organizations and German industry support the network as stakeholders.
Locally, employers’ associations, chambers, and other associations support the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT mission in regionally diverse working groups. Representatives of schools and businesses meet in regional, informal discussion groups.
The network SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT builds on committed partners, whether as sponsors, nationwide companies, local firms, innovative schools or volunteer experts: if you want to establish a positive stimulus for the transition from school to work world, come to us! We look forward to getting to know you and your ideas.
